Coronavirus: Saskatchewan government releases its back-to-school plan for the fall

The Saskatchewan government is planning for students, teachers and staff to return to school in the fall in what it’s calling as close to normal conditions as possible. On Tuesday, the province released its plan outlining additional health measures and precautions that will be in place in order to help reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus. The province chose not to make masks mandatory despite other provinces choosing to do so. Alberta, who released its back-to-school plan on Tuesday, is making masks mandatory for all staff and Grade 4 to 12 students. Health officials said there were nine new COVID-19 cases across the province, with the overall total growing to 1,368 since the first case was reported in March.
